We're volunteering to support the 2023 Hungry Ghost Festival!

The 2023 Hungry Ghost Festival is a night-time outdoors event hosted by the Chinese Cultural Center and in collaboration with community arts and neighborhood organizations throughout the city. The festival invites the diverse communities of San Francisco to celebrate ancestors with us through live music, memorable interactive stations, and parading through the streets of Chinatown.

Rubies will be helping the artists and community art activations! Chinatown for an unforgettable evening filled with art, performances, and a "Ghost King" parade. In Chinese diasporic culture, the Hungry Ghost Festival holds great significance as a cathartic experience for ancestors and restless souls, offering them a chance to heal from unjust pasts. This event brings together artists, collaborators, and cultural bearers from indigenous, immigrant, and queer communities, creating an inclusive and dynamic celebration of unity.

There will be a light meal provided by the organizers.
