This is a dedicated time and space for Ruby members to gather to conduct their own annual review. An annual review is a self-guided process where you go through prompts or questions in one or multiple areas of your life. It helps you reflect on the past year and also set goals for the new year.
This event doesn't have a presentation or talk. It's 2 hours of being around others who are also doing their annual reviews.
Depending on which one you do, it can take 1-2+ hours to complete and feel overwhelming. Instead of procrastinating this task, join others and feel less overwhelmed...and with snacks! We'll take an optional stretch break at 7 pm.
This is for you if:
You've been meaning to do an annual review, but haven't had the time
You're struggling with the motivation to do an annual review
You get more done when there are people around you doing the same thing
You run a solo business and want to review your work and personal life at the same time
To prepare for the event:
These steps are optional but very helpful to do ahead of time, so you can go right into filling it out when you're at the event.
Decide on what your annual review is going to look like. A guide has been created so you can learn more about annual reviews and download any templates. Doc: https://bit.ly/4pbWUbD & folder: https://bit.ly/3KGhiCH
Print or have your chosen digital template ready to fill out. A few printed copies of YearCompass will be available. You can also use a journal to answer questions—whatever works for you.
Make sure you have access to any necessary data. For example, a business review would need the year's P&L and a personal review would need your calendar/planner. Having a bunch of tabs open is totally fine!
Remember that an annual review is personal and you don't have to answer every question!
